Small Molecule–DNA Hybrid Nanomaterials

DNA and RNA can self-assemble through base pairing, stacking, and electrostatic stabilization. The lab has also explored systems in which DNA is linked to organic cores, nanomaterials, and other molecular architectures.

These studies investigate how hydrophobic interactions, organic cores, strand orientation, salt concentration, and molecular geometry influence the assembly and stability of nucleic acid-based materials.
